Additional Descriptions
INSTALLATION
Maintain the work area between 55° F and 95° F (12°C – 35°C) for 48 hours before and during Installation. Refer to Installation Instructions for complete details regarding applications with and without permanent HVAC controls.
Cartons shall be stored horizontally on a sturdy base at all times.
Aloft® and ProSheet Plus 3 is an acceptable installation system. (Follow ProSheet Plus 3 Installation Instructions).
Aloft® and SureStart Underlayment is an acceptable installation system. (Follow SureStart Underlayment Installation Instructions).
The substrate must be level within 1/8” in 10 ft and have no more than 1.3mm of deflection.
Begin installation with the tongue side of the plank facing the starting wall.
A minimum 1/4” (6.3mm) expansion space is required around the perimeter of the room and all vertical objects.
Do not use a hammer and tapping block to install Aloft.
The first and last plank in each row must be at least 12” (30.4cm) in length and offset end joints a minimum of 12” (30.4cm).
MAINTENANCE
Furniture can be replaced immediately after installation.
Never slide heavy furniture or appliances across the floor. Place sheets of plywood over finished floor when moving furniture and appliances into position.
Use non staining mats or area rugs at doorways and entrance ways to collect excess water, sand, grit and debris. Clean the mats and area rugs on a regular basis.
Use smooth, hard plastic or metal furniture rests or glides under frequently moved furniture to avoid scratches and indentations. Do not use felt pads.
Clean floor using Tarkett SureShine® Floor Cleaner or an equivalent pH neutral floor cleaner. Follow manufacturers label instructions for precaution and use.
